Optical Filters
Dichroic Filters, or Interference Filters are precise color filters that transmit light from a narrow range of colors while reflecting the other unwanted portion. Dichroic filters split light into two components, one component is transmitted and one is reflected. Using a Dichroic filter, a user can select spectral regions of interest and decide whether the separated light spectrum should be utilized or dumped. Dichroic filters function based on the principles of interference, where dielectric thin film coatings are deposited on the filter substrates to obtain constructive interference for certain wavelengths of light and destructive interference for others. Because the unwanted portion of the light is reflected instead of absorbed by the filters, dichroic filters can endure light sources with higher intensities.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers a wide selection of Dichroic Filters including Longpass Dichroic Filters, Shortpass Dichroic Filters, Dichroic filters for RGB light show, Laser line Dichroic filters (various HR or HT coatings at specific wavelengths), and other categories encompassing dichroic bandpass filters, dichroic band stop (notch) filters.
A Multi-layer thin film coating technique is incorporated into the production process to ensure low absorption, high reflection/exceptional transmission, achieving high spectral selection strength and efficiencies, allowing for precise manipulation of light with minimal loss. In addition, our dichroic filters offer excellent durability and stability, making them suitable for use in demanding environments. The modules could be mounted or unmounted, and besides stock dichroic filters custom versions are available.
