Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate (DKDP or KD*P ) Crystals are one the most common industrial-grade NLO materials. Compared with traditional KDP crystals, the additional deuterium composition helps to expand the transmission wavelength range, and eliminate the detrimental parasitic oscillation resulting from Ramen Scattering, an issue that could be problematic in particular for high-power lasers. KD*P crystals are superior for Second Harmonic Generation (SHG), Third Harmonic Generation (THG), and Fourth Harmonic Generation (FHG) of Nd:YAG lasers at room temperature. In addition, Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate crystals also inherit high electro-optic coefficients, making them excellent for being used as Electro-Optical Modulators, such as EO Q-switches, EO Pockels Cells, etc.
Other distinctive merits of DKDP crystals are being available in large dimensions and low fabrication cost, making DKDP the most prevalent crystals at the current stage for manufacturing large aperture nonlinear optical components. Other characteristics of DKDP include their good UV transmission, high birefringence, and low nonlinearities relative to other NLO materials.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers DKDP crystals for NLO applications and EO modulations with various cutting angles and a maximum dimension of 100x100x60mm. The crystals are high-quality guaranteed, exhibiting no visible scattering path or center under the observation of a 50mW green laser. A high deuterium composition ratio (>98%) could be obtained. Further strict QC inspections are done in Shalom EO's cleanroom before despatch. Both crystal blanks and laser-grade-polished (20/10 Scratch/Dig) DKDP crystals are available. Refer to DKDP Crystals for EO modulations, boules, blanks, and AR-coated crystals with Cr-Au electrodes are all accessible upon your request.
