Non-Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube is a cubic optical element consisting of a pair of right-angle triangular glass blocks, with a similar structure just like its polarizing counterparts. Non-polarizing beamsplitter cubes are often assigned to split light into a 50/50 ratio or a specific ratio without altering the polarization state of the incident light. One of the interfaces of the prisms is gilded with a hybrid metallic-dielectric coating. The hybrid coating is insensitive to polarizations and reflects, and transmits light according to a specific portion. This means the beamsplitter cube can manipulate the ratio of the extinction with more freedom without concerns about the polarization components. The four other faces where light enters and exits are all coated with anti-reflection coatings to attenuate reflection loss. Therefore, a non-polarizing beamsplitter would be an excellent option when the original polarization state of the incident light needs to be preserved. However, the metal content in the hybrid coating implies the cube element has a much lower damage threshold, and that non-polarizing beamsplitter cubes are not so great at handling high-power lasers.

Hangzhou Shalom EO offers Standard and Custom Non-Polarization Beamsplitter Cubes with a series of bandwidths including 450-650nm (standard), 650-950nm(inquire), 900-1200nm(inquire), and 1200-1600nm(inquire), or other bandwidths. We incorporate durable metallic-dielectric coating at the interface and AR coatings at the four faces. Our non-polarizing beamsplitter cube is of low polarization dependence, with the transmission and reflection rate of s polarization and p polarization within 5%. A large selection of dimensions is accessible, including 10x10x10mm, 12.7x12.7x12.7mm, 15.0x15.0x15.0mm, 20.0x20.0x20.0mm, and 25.4x25.4x25.4mm.

Application Notes:

Figure 1. shows how a non-polarizing beam splitter cube works. It is almost insensitive to polarization.
