Fiber End caps are optical components designed for the end-face processing of high peak power fiber laser and fiber amplifiers with high average power at the interface of air and fiber. The fiber end caps reduce the power density of the output light within endurable bounds without causing damage using beam expansion.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers Fiber End Caps made from Quartz or Fused Silica, and various custom glass materials with AR coatings. Our fiber end caps are colorless, which enables even beam expansion in homogeneous media. The end caps feature a slight beam distortion, and a high damage threshold, the end caps could have either a stem or a tapered lead-in section at one terminal of the cap to help splice into the fiber. Shalom EO incorporates special desiged angles at the end faces which shrink the echo-reflection significantly, and the products are ideal for fiber laser, fiber amplifiers, and QBH (Quartz Block Head).
