Potassium Titanyle Arsenate(KTiOAsO4), or KTA Crystal, is an advantageous nonlinear optical crystal for Optical Parametric Oscillation (OPO) application. It has impressive non-linear optical and electro-optical coefficients, minute absorption in the 2.0-5.0 µm region, broad angular and temperature bandwidth, and low dielectric constants. It is also worth mentioning, that compared with KTP, the damage threshold of KTA crystals is higher attributed to their low ionic conductivities, and the absorption in the 3-4μm wavelength range is lower than the former.
Hangzhou Shalom EO is capable of growing KTA crystals of crystal length from 0.1-30mm, and dimensions up to 15x15x30mm, with the superior surface quality of 10/5 Scratch/Dig, and AR coatings at visible to 3300nm.
Common Applications of KTA Crystals:
1. Excellent for Optical Parametric Oscillation (OPO) for MWIR output up to 4 micros.
2. Second Harmonic Generation – SHG@1.083μm-3.789μm
3. Sum and Difference Frequency Generation (SFG and DFG)
4. Electro-optical Q-switch and modulation
