Lithium Iodate (LilO3) Crystal is a uniaxial nonlinear crystal with high nonlinear coefficients and a wide optical transparent range of 0.5μm to 5.0μm. It finds extensive utility in the SHG of the low and medium-power Ti:Sapphire, Alexandrite, Cr:LiSrAlF6, and Cr:LiCaAlF6 lasers. It is also preferable for the SHG and THG of Nd:YAG lasers and auto-correlators for measuring ultra-short pulse width. In some cases, it is used for optical parametric oscillation to obtain continuous tunable lasers at the wavelength range from 0.9μm to 1.2μm. Besides the nonlinear properties, the crystal also has versatile functions, supporting applications like EO modulations, piezoelectric transducing, etc. however, the limited damage thresholds of LilO3 crystals restrain their usage for high-power lasers. For users, it is worth noting that LiIO3 crystals are very hygroscopic, engineers from Shalom EO suggest a dry operation and storage environment.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers optical-grade-polished LiIO3 crystals with a surface quality of 10/5 Scratch/Dig. A set of coating options could be tailored for you, including AR, BBAR, and P-coating.
