A Glan Laser Polarizer is a polarizing optic consisting of two identical right-angle prisms made from birefringent crystalline materials. The function of Glan laser polarizers is rejecting the ordinary component (the s-polarization) while transmitting the extraordinary component (the p-polarization) utilizing total internal reflection and the birefringent nature of crystals. 

Shalom EO’s Glan Laser Polarizers are composed of two prisms with an air gap in between, the adhesive-free structure helps to elevate the damage threshold. The designs of black glass that absorbs the rejected radiation or escape ports that allows the dumping the extra power is available, making our Glan Laser Polarizers capable of coping with high-power lasers.
