DKDP Pockels Cells
DKDP or KD*P crystals stand out for their high electro-optic coefficients attributing to the high deuteration content, and the high e-o conversion efficiencies render them well-suited for pockels cells Q-switches applications. DKDP crystals also have good transmission at 0.3 to 1.1µm. The operation wavelength range of DKDP (KD*P) Pockels cells for Q-switching applications is 400 nm to about 1.1 μm. Most of the low repetition rate DPSS Nd:YAG lasers and commercial flashlamp-pumped Nd:YAG lasers are equipped with DKDP (KD*P) based Pockels cells for laser cavity Q-switching. With the distinguished merits of excellent mechanical and optical properties, DKDP Pockel cells are often used in lasers of large caliber, high power, and narrow pulse width.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers the DKDP pockels cells with high deuteration (>98%), low capacitance and fast rise time and high transmission, high extinction ratio, and the largest aperture of 50mm is available.
Features:
- Low absorption and high deuteration
- Operates in the Longitudinal scheme, so applied voltage does not depend on crystal aperture, hence large apertures could be arranged without increasing the voltage
- High damage threshold dielectric AR coating options
- For fs applications due to low GVD
Applications:
- Pulse picking and Laser cavity dumping
- Q-switching of low repetition rate diode-pumped lasers and flashlamp-pumped high energy lasers
- OEM laser systems
- Medical/cosmetic lasers
- Versatile R&D laser platforms
- Military & aerospace lasers
