Terbium Gallium Garnet (TGG), chemical composition TbGa5O12, is a synthetic optical crystal, and the most prevalent material for manufacturing Faraday Rotators, which is a sub-component of prior importance in optical isolators. As an excellent kind of magneto-optical crystal, TGG features a large Verdet constant(35 Rad T^-1 m^-1), better thermal properties, and lower optical loss in comparison with terbium-doped glasses, making them requisite for high average power fiber lasers. The transmission range for TGG crystal is 400-11000nm, excluding 475-500nm.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers Czochralski-grown, precision-polished Terbium Gallium Garnet (TGG) Crystals with high surface quality (10/5 S/D) and high transmission AR Coatings, realizing strong magneto-optical effects and effectively blocking light reflected in the lasers meanwhile ensuring small optical loss. For applications requiring higher power capabilities and limited design capacities, TSAG Crystals are also available in Shalom EO.
