Equilateral prism is a kind of dispersion prisms which have three equal 60°angles, which is the most typical type made of high difference of refraction indexes for different wavelength. Equilateral prisms is typically used at minimum angle of deviation. When light beam travels parallel to the base of prisms, and the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of emergence when both angles measured with respect to the surface normal, the deviation would be minimized.
