Scintillators
Scintillation Crystals pertain to inorganic scintillation materials and are often grown in high-temperature furnaces, with activators added as dopants. Scintillator materials are fundamental in various devices utilizing the scintillation phenomenons, such as PET, and CT in medical inspections, and X-radiation/Gamma detection. NaI(Tl) (thallium-doped sodium iodide) crystals are the most prevalent kind of inorganic scintillation crystals, featuring a high light yield. Other popular inorganic scintillators are CsI(Tl), LYSO(Ce), CsI(Na), BGO, YAG(Ce), CaF2(Eu), BaF2, CdWO4, GAGG(Ce), LuAg(Ce), GOS, LSO, LaBr3(Ce), LaCl3(Ce) and CeBr3. CsI(Tl), LYSO(Ce), BGO, GAGG(Ce), and CdWO4 are often made into pixelated arrays to be used in X-radiation scanning security machines and medical diagnostic machines of computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET). Newly developed crystals LaBr3(Ce), LaCl3(Ce), and CeBr3 scintillation crystals have excellent light output and extremely high energy resolution. And YAG(Ce), GAGG(Ce), and LuAG (Ce) scintillator thin screens are often needed in high-resolution imaging applications, such as proton radiographic and scanning electron microscopes, soft x-radiation imaging, VUV, and DUV optical applications.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers various inorganic scintillators, which include polished crystals with or without reflectors, encapsulated crystals, pixelated scintillators, scintillator screens, and detector assemblies consisting of PMT, electronics, and scintillators.
