Scintillators
A scintillator detector consists of a crystal or other phosphor coupled with its mount to a photomultiplier tube (PMT) with a silicone oil light-couple. The scintillation crystals are excited to luminescence by absorbed photons or particles, and the light pulse generated is collected, multiplied, and converted to electric pulses by PMT. Besides the scintillators and PMT, a complete scintillation detector assembly also includes a Voltage Divider (VD), Preamplifier, High Voltage Module (HV), and connector electronics. Scintillation detectors are often used to detect X-rays and γ-ray, they are widely used in medical diagnostics, high-energy physics, and geophysical exploration.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers a variety of scintillation detectors by NaI(Tl), CsI(Tl), CsI(Na), LYSO(Ce), BGO, LaBr3(Ce), LaCl3(Ce), and plastic scintillators ect., and PMT could be Hamamatsu, ET or other suppliers. Both off-the-shelf modules and custom products are available.
