YAG(Ce) Scintillation Screens
Ce: YAG scintillation crystal has distinguished characteristics such as high light output (9000Ph/MeV) and fast decay time(70ns). Also, with the emission peak positioned at 560nm, YAG(Ce) can be well-matched to CCD sensors. YAG(Ce) scintillators find prominence in various applications like Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), electronic imaging, beta-particle, X-radiation counters, and imaging. It has outstanding thermal and mechanical characteristics, making it excellent for manufacturing ultra-thin screens of 0.01mm. The fact that YAG(Ce) crystals feature high endurance to high-energy electrons or ions contributes to their wide usage in high-energy radiation detection. Besides, Ce: YAG also has the advantage of rich availability in large sizes, all the merits in combination make Ce-doped YAG scintillation crystal a representative inorganic scintillation crystal material. The growth and annealing processes of Ce:YAG crystals determine the practical properties of the crystal.
The thin, flat Ce:YAG scintillation crystals can be used directly as scintillation screens with extraordinarily high spatial resolutions. Scintillation thin screens are used to detect proton beams, electron beams, low energy X-rays (or soft X-rays), Ultra-Violet (UV) light, Deep Ultra-Violet (DUV) light, Vacuum Ultra-Violet (VUV) and Extreme Ultra-Violet (EUV or XUV) radiations. Ce:YAG is broadly utilized in Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), high-resolution soft x-ray detection and Ultra-Violet laser systems.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers stocked and custom YAG(Ce) thin scintillator screens and plates; they could be provided in forms including free-standing crystals, installation in aluminum holders, and bonding to ultra-violet fused silica substrates. The minimum thicknesses are 0.05mm for free-standing screens and 0.01mm for screens with FS substrates. The high surface quality of 10/5 S/D and aluminum coating is also optional. Furthermore,
Bulk YAG(Ce) Crystals are also available.
