Ultrafast-enhanced Silver Mirrors are mirrors coated with dielectric multi-layer silver coatings, optimized for femtosecond lasers. The ultrafast enhanced silver mirrors are designed to offer low Group Delay Dispersion (often abbreviated as GDD, which is a measure that quantifies chromatic dispersion). High GDD will cause a broadening of pulses and decentralization of pulse energies and can compromise the performance of femtosecond lasers. By decreasing the GDD, the ultrafast silver mirror maintains the temporal pulse profile and the peak power for femtoline lasers. 

Utilizing a cutting-edge ultrafast-enhanced silver coating technique, Shalom EO’s Ultra-fast Enhanced Silver Mirrors exhibit prevailing advantages for femtosecond pulse generations. The high reflectance between the wavelength range of 600-1000nm, wide operating wavelengths, and miniature Group Delay Dispersion (GDD) make our ultra-fast enhanced silver mirrors stand out from the crowd. Compared with our low GDD dielectric mirrors, the ultrafast-enhanced silver mirrors provide comparable GDD, the reflectance is a little bit lower, but the operating wavelength range is a little bit wider than the low GDD mirrors. Our ultrafast-enhanced silver mirror is an economical option to preserve ultrafast pulse bandwidths and pulse energies, avoiding the broadening effects that a mirror with an average metallic coating or dielectric coating suffers.

Shalom EO offers off-the-shelf and custom Ultra-fast Enhanced Silver Mirrors. The mirrors are excellent for the fundamental wavelength of Ti:Sapphire laser with femtosecond scale pulse durations. Each mirror contains a dielectric overcoat engineered with meticulous crafts, to deliver excellent reflectance and low group delay dispersion (GDD), the advanced coating techniques contribute to a minimized pulse dispersion. The reflection wavelength range is extended to a range of 600-1000nm utilizing the combination of multiple layers of dielectric coatings. High precision standards are achieved (λ/10 surface flatness, 20/10 S/D surface quality).
