25mm CaF2 Uncoated λ/2 Flatness Equilateral Prism, Code: 1406-008.
An Equilateral Prism is a triangular prism of three identical side lengths and 60°apex angles. Equilateral prisms are often utilized for dispersive purposes (i.e. separating a white light source into a spectrum of multiple colors). Equilateral dispersive prisms are often operated at the minimum angle of deviation to obtain maximum clear aperture and ameliorated reflection loss of p-polarization.
This catalog highlights Shalom EO’s Stocked Equilateral Prisms made of SCHOTT F2, CaF2, and UV Fused Silica. These standard equilateral dispersive prisms are of high precision. In routine situations, the off-the-shelf equilateral prisms are available in uncoated versions, whilst custom coatings could be tailored. We also provide custom equilateral prisms with a wider selection of substrate materials and specifications.
