A Wedge Prism is an optical component with a shallow angle between its input and output faces. Wedge prisms are excellent for applications including laser beam steering, anamorphic beam shaping in laser diodes, and laser scanning. Wedge prisms could either be used as a single element or in pairs(in this case, the wedge prism pair could also be called a Risley Prism Pair). Wedge prisms are often made into circular forms to allow rotations that permit a specific amount of beam deviation.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers Off-the-shelf Wedge Prisms made from N-BK7 with deviation angles ranging from 2° to 10°, with coating options including uncoated, 350-700nm AR Coating, 650-1050nm AR Coating, and 1050-1700nm AR Coating. The diameters of wedge prisms are all 25.4mm, being standardized for ease of mounting.
